Who is Parameter Design Training for?

Parameter Design is most often used by Product Design Engineers and their management. In our course, Fort Worth students learn:

Parameter Design Training Course Overview:

In an interactive and fun setting. learn how to calculate highest revenue-generating product dimensions. How many billions of dollars do you suppose have been lost due to parameters (dimensions) being set wrong or failing to communicate safety-related and function-critical feature classification to Procurement and Manufacturing teams?

The primary focus of our 1-day Introduction to Parameter Design is conveying how design products that customers want to buy. Not doing this can be catastrophic. One of the worst examples we've seen is a small company who wasted $12M designing a pressure-based UPS system for which they generated zero sales. Through presentation, examples, and hands-on exercises, students will learn through doing the following in a highly interactive and fun setting:
Running a designed experiment with low cost components and process settings.
Selecting optimum values for parameters that will reduce the variability of the response to noise.
Selecting lowest cost settings for factors that have minimal effect on response.


Prerequisites. Basic:
Knowledge of Product Design / Engineering
Math: Algebra, Summations
Excel


Details.
All students receive a binder of slide print-outs.
Students will also be asked to evaluate the class.
Comprehension will be measured with a quiz. Passing grade is 80%. Students scoring less will receive a call from their instructor to review weak points.
Once understanding is confirmed, certificate proofs will be emailed for error-checking.
Certificates will then be printed and delivered by normal mail. Certificates are individually serialized with no expiration date although annual refresher training is recommended.


Schedule. The day is usually 8am-3pm including time for breaks and followed by a quiz. Lunch is between 30-60 minutes depending on client preference.

A big draw is the educated workforce, with nearby TCU offering business, technology and management degrees. The newly developing WestBend will evolve the successful University retail district by delivering the critical mass of retail and restaurants, the urban-style pedestrian experience and connectivity to the active social scene on the Trinity Trail. River Plaza is less than two miles away from key destinations in the city, including the Colonial Country Club, the Cultural District, Fort Worth Zoo and Texas Christian University. The office space is well situated for access to the interstate I-30 and Fort Worth Intermodel Transportation Center, where the Trinity Railway Express connects to Dallas and Amtrak to further afield.
